Contract Agreement
The architectural firm, partnership, joint venture or consortium selected in Stage 2 to complete the commission will be required to enter into a contract with the DHW in the form of the West Australian Government's General Conditions of Contract, which is consistent with Australian Standard AS 4122 (Int)-1993, adapted for this project.

Disposition of Entries
All submissions in Stages 1 and 2 of the competition are the property of the DCA and no materials will be returned to applicants on completion of the judging in either stage of the competition.

DCA undertakes to maintain the anonymity of entries throughout the judging process in both stages of the competition. None of the Stage 1 submissions will be released for public review or shared with the short listed competitors proceeding to Stage 2, until the competition winner is announced at the conclusion of the competition process.
Immediately after completion of the competition process, Stage 2 entries and selected submissions from Stage 1 will be mounted for public exhibit in Perth, and may be later published on the competition web site and/or in a printed volume offering a record of the competition process and an analysis of the theoretical directions developed by the entrants. Submission in either stage of the competition implies permission to publish any of the materials received, in digital and/or printed form, on completion of the competition process.
Enquiries
DCA, at its discretion, may authorise any of its officers, employees, agents, consultants or advisors to contact references or conduct enquiries to confirm statements or information contained in any competitor's submission.
Compensation and Contract
Stage 1
Competitors will be responsible for all costs incurred in the preparation and delivery of their Concept and Qualifications submission to Perth, Western Australia.
Stage 2
The four short listed competitors invited to proceed to Stage 2 will each be paid a fixed fee in the amount of $AUD 40,000.
The competition winner will be offered the commission to provide design services for the facility, in accordance with the West Australian Government's General Conditions of Contract, adapted for this project.
